Authors Sung J. Woo, LaDawn Black to visit Barnes & Noble
Authors Sung J. Woo and LaDawn Black will be visiting Barnes & Noble Johns Hopkins this week.
Woo is the author of the critically acclaimed Everything Asian, a coming-of-age novel chronicling the world of 12-year-old David Kim, who moves from Korea with his mother and sister to join his father in New Jersey.
His short stories and essays have appeared in The New York Times, McSweeney’s and KoreAm Journal. Woo will sign copies of his novel at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12.
Black hosts a radio relationship show, The Love Zone, five nights a week on Baltimore’s 92Q, and she also is a relationship coach for match.com, essence.com and blackmeninamerica.com. Her new book, Tease, with chapters inspired by personal ads, is her first work of fiction. She will discuss it at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
