‘Pursuit of Happyness’ author to speak about latest book
Chris Gardner, whose memoir The Pursuit of Happyness became a New York Times and Washington Post No. 1 best-seller and inspired the Will Smith movie of the same name, will discuss his latest book, Start Where You Are: Life Lessons in Getting From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be, at an event sponsored by Barnes & Noble Johns Hopkins.
Having conquered seemingly impossible challenges on his way to becoming a profitable entrepreneur, popular speaker and dedicated activist, Gardner says that his aim in Start Where You Are is to give back by motivating others to claim ownership of their dreams and achieve their full potential, capitalizing on the resources already in place while building toward bigger ambitions.
Gardner’s talk will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, in the Charles Commons Conference Center.
