Free JHU-community block party set for Saturday afternoon
Convergence—the JHU-community block party that celebrates the relationship between JHU and its Homewood campus neighbor—will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, in the 3200 block of St. Paul Street.
The event, now in its sixth year, offers everyone living in, working in and serving the communities surrounding the Homewood campus an opportunity to enjoy each other’s company, learn about local opportunities from many exhibitors and partake in prize drawings valued at more than $1,000, festival foods and refreshments, carnival games with prizes, a moon bounce, entertainment and more—and all of them free.
Convergence is sponsored by the JHU offices of Homewood Student Affairs and Community Affairs, and the Charles Village Business Association, with leadership from Barnes & Noble Johns Hopkins.
