Pasta power
JHU’s professional engineering fraternity, Theta Tau, kicked off National Engineers Week with its annual Tower of Power competition. Nineteen teams of students and alumni competed. The mission: to build with a box of uncooked linguini and bag of marshmallows the tallest tower in 20 minutes. This year’s winners were four PhD students from Mechanical Engineering: Suman Dasgupta, Pegah Ghahremani, Simon Lockyer-Bratton and Barbara Murienne. Their tower stood 69 inches.
