SAIS to host conference on the new African democracy
SAIS will hold a two-day conference, The New African Democracy: Information Technology and Political Participation, on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 1 and 2.
Hosted by the school’s African Studies Program, the conference will explore how information and communications technologies are helping to advance political participation and social movements in Africa. Ebrahim Rasool, South African ambassador to the United States, will give the keynote address, at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
