Winners of Gallup survey drawing announced

More than two-thirds of staff members outside the School of Medicine and APL completed the 2012 Employee Engagement Survey last month, the first time the university has conducted the survey beyond the medical school.

In appreciation, the university entered the names of employees who participated in drawings for prizes. Six employees were winners.

The winners among employees who submitted surveys online: First week: Gillian Rathbone-Webber, Office of the President, iPad. Second week: Hadley Leach, Project MUSE User Services, Kindle. Third week: Deirdre Hammer, Communications, gift certificate.

Gift certificates were awarded to three winners who submitted their surveys on paper. All are staff members in Custodial Services: Darnell Smalls, Angela Leach and Nancy Lee.

Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to everyone who participated in the survey. Results will be made available to managers later this summer, triggering discussions within units on follow-up efforts to enhance all employees’ workplace experience. You are encouraged to participate.
