Obama taps libraries dean Winston Tabb for national board

Winston Tabb, Sheridan Dean of University Libraries and Museums at Johns Hopkins, has been nominated by President Barack Obama to the National Museum and Library Services Board. The nomination, announced last week by the White House, requires confirmation by the Senate.

Winners of Arts Innovation Grants announced at Homewood

The Johns Hopkins University has awarded approximately $25,000 in grants to students and faculty to stimulate new courses in the arts and other arts-related efforts on the Homewood campus, said Winston Tabb, vice provost for the arts.
Design contest seeks student ideas for group study space

The Sheridan Libraries has launched a design competition and is inviting design submissions for a group study space for the new Brody Learning Commons. Called yrBLCspace, the contest is open to all Johns Hopkins University students and is being sponsored by the Friends of the Libraries.
